Just after 1800 hours (6:00 pm), units from Mount Airy VFC were dispatched for a garage fire in the 14000 Block of Silver Fern Drive in Frederick County. Engine 12 was first arriving unit and located a single family residence with light smoke showing from the attached garage. The crew of Engine 12 made a quick extinguishment on a small fire in the garage. Crews were assisted by units from New Market, Green Valley and Libertytown volunteer fire companies on scene. Damage was minor.
