On June 4 at 1119 hours (11:19 am), units from MAVFC were dispatched for a house fire in the 1500 block of Old Annapolis Road in the Woodbine area. Howard County Engine 41 was first on scene to find a single family home with fire throughout 50-75% of the house. Upon the arrival of the MAVFC units a defensive operation was underway. Engine 12 and Rescue 1 crews assisted with extinguishing the fire, Medic 19 assisted with rehab, and Tanker 1 shuttled water to the scene. Units operated at the scene for approximately 3 hours before returning to the station. Damage to the house was significant. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation by the Howard County Fire Marshal's Office.
